Guest column: EPA prizes polluters over people

Our federal government just increased the probability that you or someone you know will get sick—maybe even mortally sick. Most of us will see our incomes go down even as the cost of living goes up. Why? So fossil-fuel billionaires can make more money. 

Here’s how: Last week the Environmental Protection Agency repealed the “endangerment finding,” the 2009 scientific analysis that authorized the Feds to regulate greenhouse gases (GHG) under the Clean Air Act (CAA).

Incredibly, the current regime at the EPA gutted its own authority to protect the public from climate change, citing trumped up propaganda that the rollback will save the US consumer $1.3 trillion by 2055, primarily because they promise the cost of gas-guzzling cars will go down.
